• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Prayers, please.

Not only can Jesus heal the migraine, HE HAS,
Isaiah 53: 3, He,[Jesus] was a man of sorrows [Hebrew Pain] and acquainted with grief [Heb, Sickness]
v4 SURELY HE [JESUS] HAS bourne our griefs [sicknesses] and carried our sorrows [pains]
v5. By His stripes WE ARE HEALED'

Matthew 8: 1--17.
V17: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isiah the Prophet, saying, Himself, [Jesus] took our infirmities and bare our sicknesses.

1 Peter 2: 24.
By whose stripes WE WERE HEALED. [Passed tense]
The Greek word for "Healed" in this verse is found 28 times in the New Testament, And every time it is talking aboput Healing for the physical body.

So we can see by the Bible, Jesus has already taken our sicknesses, and now we can receive healing anytime we put our faith in the finished work of Jesus.

you read the gospels and find out how many times people who anitiated and received healing by their own faith, Today to many Christians are waiting for Jesus to do something [Heal] He has aready done for us.

Wow. That is pretty insulting.

If I were just a better Christian and had more faith I wouldn't have headaches.

O Lord Jesus Christ, Son and Word of the Living God, through the prayers of Thy Most Pure Mother and of all Thy Saints especially St. Luke the Physician, St. Nectarios, and St. John of San Francisco, have mercy on your handmaiden and grant her relief from her headaches.

Ice works for me (chilled gel packs)aplied to th head, neck (wherever it hurts)
Plus, it can be a vicious cycle...the pain creates tension....tension creates pain etc etc
Relaxation techniques, massage, warm bath/shower can help too.
Allergies to foods, molds, etc can cause terrible headaches.....
You definately need to find a doc who will get to the cause!

Yes, allergies can cause terrible headaches.

However, severe headaches that I had off and on for two weeks this past month were triggered by Carbon Monoxide poisoning due to leaks in our forced air gas furnace.

We have since disconnected the furnace and only use an oil space heater in the bedroom. It is quite cold in our house. 52 degrees in the Living Room and no fireplace. So we must bundle up.

I would be concerned if my doctor refused to test for possibilities despite the continuing pain and lack of relief. It sounds like he is being careless, and I would consult a second opinion. The ER typically would tell you to see your regular doctor for testing and such, as even if it's something serious like a tumor, it's not an emergency for the ER to handle. Praying for your migraine.

Tomorrow (Sunday) will be the 10th day of having a migraine.

My doctor gave up. The ER told me to take tylenol.

I just don't know what to do. Nothing is working. :(

Do you have any idea what is causing it?

I get pressure migraines from the tighten up of the muscles of my middle back and up towards my neck.

For the most part, stress, dehydration, and either too much or not enough sleep usually triggers them.

Some times they can last a few days, which leave me sore and low on energy.

Usually prescription strength ibuprofen takes care of it and some sleep.:crossrc:
