Prayers please

My husband was just admitted to the hospital with acute pain in his abdomen this afternoon. They suspect it may be the spleen, but are still running tests and probably won't know anything until some time tomorrow. It's especially scary because our medical system is in such bad shape. So there's just no guarantee that he's getting proper care. I'm home right now because there was nothing I could do for the moment. He's on pain killers and I guess just going to try and sleep for the night under hospital supervision. My mother is in town for a seminar that we were supposed to attend tomorrow (obviously I'm not going anymore), so while I wanted to stay at the hospital, I also had to be home for her. Kinda frustrating!

Anyway, he could really use all your prayers right now.

Thank you everyone.

I did get some sleep last night, but not a whole lot, of course. My mother is off to the seminar today so I'm free to spend the day at the hospital. I'll be heading over in a little while. He's sleeping right now, and they're still waiting for his CT scan to be booked for sometime this morning. I'm doing OK, just very anxious to know what's wrong. I'm quite used to hospitals, so that part doesn't really freak me out or anything. I just want him better and home ASAP. It was good to have my mother around for the evening because she kinda helped keep my mind off things. Ug, I am so not looking forward to telling his mother. She's most likely going to freak out.

I thank God that they're taking care of him quickly tho - I do'nt know how your hospital system works over there, but that was my fear that he couldn't get help quickly.
So that's at least a little relief.

I pray God bring peace to you - and strength and that this is nothing serious.

Have they given you any idea of what it may be? You mentioned the spleen, but may it be something really easily fixable?

God isn't abandoning you, though, sis, and He'll make this be ok

Yes I was very concerned about that too, but the fact that they're getting him in for the scan already today is a really good sign. And he said the nurses and even his doctor are very attentive and check in on him regularly. That is a great answer to prayer!

No, it sounds like they're really scratching their heads over this. All of his tests and x-rays have come back fine so far. So yes they're still hopeful it's not serious. He doesn't have a fever right now either, so that's really good. Hoping the scan tells us more.
