  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Prayers please

Hi,

As some of you may know through reading some of these threads I have had a problem with my knee for the last few months.

I saw the consultant today and apparently I've ruptured (torn) my anterior cruciate ligament and I am going to have to have a scan and physio for definate but I will also probably have to go through some reconstructive surgery to play sports again. Basically, I have had enough of hospitals and operations in my time as I had cancer twice before the age of 12 so I really hate the thought of having to go through surgery again let alone the rehabilitation which is probably going to mean I wont be able to play football for the rest of the year. Fortunately, I can still walk and drive so it's not a major disruption to my life but it is still really gutting as sports is such an important thing in my life as I love spending time with my mates when we play.

Thankfully I work as my church's administrator which means that it is extremely flexible in terms of working hours so it won't distrupt my work too much!

I am just asking for prayer that God can either work a miracle of healing in my knee or that the good from this situation can be revealed soon and that it is by far more beneficial than having fun playing football. Obviously my preference is for the miracle healing;) !

Thanks for any prayers!

all the best, but praying want make a difference.
Actually, as a christian I believe it can make all the difference. I've already experienced God's healing in my life.

The second time that I had cancer the doctors did scans and biopsies and the tumour was inside my right lung and was still alive. They did these tests only a few days before they operated. When they operated they found it had moved outside of the lung and when they examined it it was completely dead. I was being prayed for by my church and all a whole lot of other people that we knew. I don't think that those two things are seperate as something miraculous definately happened as that is not a normal occurence.

I don't want to start a debate as the purpose of this thread was not a discussion about the power of prayer it was merely asking for some help. I did think that I needed to respond to that though because of my past experiences.

Thank you everyone for your prayers. They are much appreciated.
