  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I got home from college today for Spring Break. I went to mass tonight at 7, and found out that one of our priests had a mild heart attack yesterday. He is out of ICU, but has been having heart problems for a couple of months now. He had a bipass a couple months ago, and I think that was the result of a minor heart attack.

This weekend is also the Confirmation Retreat. The priest in the hospital was supposed to give Saturday morning's talk. The lead Confirmation Catechist asked me tonight if I would do it.

After spending some time in adoration and prayer, I decided to. So please pray for me as a rapidly prepare for this, than I may take my time and not rush, realizing God is in control.

I am also supposed to put together some stuff for the youth group night on Sunday night. Please pray that I find time to get that done too in all of this.

Just saw this request, and have added my prayers. I realize that the lectures are already given, but I asked God to apply my prayers retroactively. ;)

Also keeping Father (?) in prayer for healing and health. Please tell him that our prayers are with him.
