Prayers please...

I've struggled with depression since I was 12, and when I get stressed out it comes back very strongly. Now is one of those times.
I'm so overwhelmed with school and nurse's training that I can't sleep at night. I don't want to eat. Last night I wanted to die. I didn't care anymore. And that's what scares me the most, is when I no longer care about anything.
So if you could please pray for me, I would really appreciate it.

I'm trying to set up a doctor's appointment right now and no one is calling me back. That's not helping things at all.

Leia, I'll keep you in prayer. I went through that once, not giving a crap about anything. Just remember, you two aren't alone. I've been down that road, too. I've been depressed, I've stopped caring, I've contemplated suicide, the whole bit. If you ever need to talk about anything of that sort, gimme a buzz. I listen, and I understand, got it? And...

You are no wimp whatsoever! I'm a guy too. Like they said when i was in the hospital for suicidal problems.. "the quote boys don't cry is inaccurate, because i cry everyday" - that was from a MAN, older than me, there at the hospital.

I hope and pray you get a dr.'s appointment set up. a good way to find doctors is on: searchbug dot com. you can find doctors near you there. or look in phone book. man i hope you can find someone. i'll be praying for you!

I really understand what you're going through. I've been suicidal since I was 5.

Such a fragile age scares me, since i'm a mom with a son who's 18 months now!!

I've also been down the road of depression quite a lot! Sometimes for days, sometimes for months and as a teenager it lasted for about 3/4 years continually... (Tried suicide then, but failed!)

I think the bottomline is, that when we have our happier days or even just moments, it's good to remind ourselves to why we chose to live... FOR THOSE MOMENTS!!! (My son basically keeps me alive through depression now, because i can't imagine a better care giver for him than myself...) I know we must trust in God's love, but during major depression, it's even hard to believe that God can actually love me... (At least i know it when i survive the clouds of depression! )

Kendra, I know how hard it is when you are depressed, I have been going threw it off and on for a while now, It took truly letting God into my life and telling him I was powerless and needed his guidance, You are a strong young lady and you will get throught this hard time, I will keep you in my prayers, I beleave you are a caring person. Your training to be a nures it takes a strong loving person to be a nurse. Remember to take time out for your self when you feel like you are getting to the stressed out point! praying for you, Michelle

I'm sorry for your depression, I also been going through it. Most people don't understand why you feel so moody. I do know how you feel, I am too like that. I feel like there is nothing worth living for anymore. Plus, this news of the rapture, flu, earthquakes and hurricanes can make someone depressed. I hope you feel better soon.

i was suicidal when i was 5... and 10... and 13... i haven't been recently though, but i am dealing with stupid issues. and i don't believe guys are wimps because they admt whats wrong with them. i think it makes them stronger. well, unless they're like my brother and claim EVERYTHINGS wrong with them, then they're just hypochandriacks. (sp)
