  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Well, now that the shock has worn off that I'm pregnant, the worry has set in... I just can't fathom that at 5-6 weeks pregnant, my HcG levels were so low... (105.9) And all that red spotting couldn't have been good- I mean I thought I had my period! (BFN on 5/27, AF on 5/28) And I really don't think I could have ovulated again already, and had time for the baby to implant. Something just doesn't feel right...
Today I am so nervous, that after I got home at noon, I have just slept. I have a huge headache, and a dull aching pain in my tummy- not intense, just there...
Please pray that the levels had doubled by tomorrow, and that this has all been some weird fluke. We want a baby so badly, and I don't know how I'm going to handle it if there is nothing there....

Well, my Beta was up to 182, so 75%. I am still having brown, creamy discharge, not all the time, just every so often, and I feel crampy all the time, but not in one spot. And boy, am I tired!
I am scheduled to be rechecked on Wednesday, and then an ultrasound.
I am just very worried- those numbers are soooo low :( I wish I didn't even know them- just that I went up 75%... And someone told me that if my CM looked like prune juice that I should worry, and isn't prune juice almost a watery brown? I put a call in to my Dr., but she was off yesterday, so I am hoping to hear something today...
Thanks for your concern- I wish I could enjoy being pregnant, but this worry is taking over :(

This is for gestational age- which is the age of the fetus from conception, IIRC (not counting the days before you ovulated, which most due dates do.) So if you are figuring at 6 weeks then you are 4 weeks gestational and according to this chart, your numbers are perfectly normal.

Guideline to hCG levels during pregnancy:

hCG levels in weeks from LMP (gestational age)* :

  • 3 weeks LMP: 5 - 50 mIU/ml
  • 4 weeks LMP: 5 - 426 mIU/ml
  • 5 weeks LMP: 18 - 7,340 mIU/ml
  • 6 weeks LMP: 1,080 - 56,500 mIU/ml
  • 7 - 8 weeks LMP: 7, 650 - 229,000 mIU/ml
  • 9 - 12 weeks LMP: 25,700 - 288,000 mIU/ml
  • 13 - 16 weeks LMP: 13,300 - 254,000 mIU/ml
  • 17 - 24 weeks LMP: 4,060 - 165,400 mIU/ml
  • 25 - 40 weeks LMP: 3,640 - 117,000 mIU/ml
  • Non-pregnant females: <5.0 mIU/ml
  • Postmenopausal females: <9.5 mIU/ml
