  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

My older son (15) who has learning difficulties and a chronic illness, is having a bit of a flair up which is horrible for him and putting strain on the rest of the family. My work is also very stressful at the moment, so I'm feeling a bit ragged coping with it all.
Could you please pray for us all, that things may improve soon and especially for Tom, that he may be restored to health and happiness soon.

:pray: Heavenly Father. I humbly ask that Cat’s son have help with his learning difficulties. Father, please bring a clearer sense of understanding in his mind, and lead teachers and professionals into his life to help him learn, and to guide him. Father, please help him concerning his illness, that he will have healing, comfort, peace and strength. Please help Cat and her family to have strength and patience to persevere as they give her son support and attend to their other needs in life. Please help Cat to be relieved of the stress she has been feeling, and please help restore peace and health in her home. Father, may your Spirit fall upon Tom that his health may be restored, and may he feel contentment and joy in is life again. INJC, amen. :pray:

Dear Lord, Thank you for giving this child to this family and thank you for your many blessings. Please be with this child as he has physical and mental ailments. Cure his learning disability and make his mind a sponge. Cure his illness and make his body whole. Thank you for this and for all that you do for us.
