Prayers much needed from 6-8 pm today, central time! =)

I will be singing a solo at a concert in front of people from 6-8 today central time. Prayers would be appreciated since my voice is all cruddy and i still dont' know my words very well! Eeks!

Well, it either went good or bad. I think i sounded pretty good (watched the tape) and some friends said i did good, but the judge (this was a mock contest for next weekend) rated me and wrote comments. The ratings go from 1 (best) to five (worst). The guy gave me a three. Which hurt because a three is not good by any measure...about the lowest most people get. And his comments didn't happen, and now i may have to switch to a lower key (my voice teacher had no confidence in me before). But i did sound ok, and the judge once said stood instead of should in his comments. Maybe this discredits him a bit?

Maybe he was being like ultra strict to get you prepared for the actual contest you have?

Either way, don't let it get to you! Even though I haven't heard you sing, I'm sure you're great! Especially since you watched the tape and felt the same way. You're your own worst critic...and it doesn't sound like it was that bad after all!

I'll continue to pray for you for that upcoming singing weekend!

I talked with and friend and in short, he butchered me. He was so much nicer to everyone else...i don't even know the guy! He was from some other school. He all but said, you stink, try something else. But, we concluded that he was an idiot...and he'll get his. If i'm ever famous i'll write about him or something

Don't worry about it sis.Many persons act high and mighty when it comes to criticism but they themselves don't have the qualification to critique someone else .

Just stay focused and relaxed always and you will get it for sure.

I sang "I love You" by beethoven, and did get the lowest score anyone got, everyone else(even those who did worse than me) got twos, so i asked the teacher about it. He's going to watch the tape tomorrow, but he's pretty sure that the judge mixed me up with someone who sang the same song. Thank God. So he'll watch the tape and tell me if that guy was totally wrong. Yay! I was feeling pretty low about myself for a while (some of my "friends"' rude and egotistical comments didn't help), but i'm pretty happy right now. This provided an answer to the confusion...finally.

I a filling that popped out the other day refilled finally...no more hole! numb mouth though.

Singing in front of people is hard enough as it is...I'm impressed! I get shaky whenever I get up in church to sing...and they're my family!

I sang the English translation...i know, i loved the song so much. Both my voice teacher and choir teacher agreed that it was a mix-up of some sort, which is great! thank God. I'm getting better about the fear...this is about the third time i've sung in front of people, terrifying. I also play the guitar and have a plot afoot to start a Christian band.
