Prayers for the homeless

God i lift up those who are homeless and without shelter during this severe cold snap across our country. I pray that as there are organizations going around giving out blankets and coats that you will also minister to their health physically and spiritually. I pray for comfort for the loved ones grieving over the loss of those already stricken in this time. I ask Lord that if there be anyone suffering that you send one who is able to help their way.

Amen, I currently am at a program/shelter that is faith based and have seen a few come in all beat up. It hurts my heart.

Amen, I currently am at a program/shelter that is faith based and have seen a few come in all beat up. It hurts my heart.

I was watching the news this morning and 2 homeless people were found dead inside an abandoned building they had built a fire in to stay warm and the building caught on fire. i am assuming while they were sleeping. These people need all the prayers and help we can send their way. So sad.

Father, I pray that the savagery that this world can bring upon us will be no match for Your healing and comforting provision. May You use this provision to open eyes to Your good desires for these people; that You want to adopt them, and to be their rich Father who will love them, spend time with them, provide for them, and introduce them to a wonderful life and world they have never imagined.
Father, may people come to see that these temporary tents they live in (their current human bodies), are vessels You want to wonderfully change and make incorruptible and immortal (1 Corinthians 15:51-53). May they come to know that You want them to eventually come and live in a special place prepared for them in Your "house" (John 14:2-3) with You. May they see that You have much for them to do in the mean time on this earth, for just a relatively short time, that may involve some suffering and difficulty, but that You will go with them through it all, and that it is a work that will benefit them, many other people, and You for eternity. Amen.

I was watching the news this morning and 2 homeless people were found dead inside an abandoned building they had built a fire in to stay warm and the building caught on fire. i am assuming while they were sleeping. These people need all the prayers and help we can send their way. So sad.

I just saw an update on the news and a total of 16 have died this week due to cold weather.
