Athanasios Theodoris Stathopoulo - Savannah -Athanasios Theodoris Stathopoulo, 86, of Savannah, died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2006 at Hospice Savannah, Inc., surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Mostichi -Dremo, Greece, Sept. 14, 1920, and came to the United States in 1948, and lived the American Dream. He was a very proud person of his heritage, his faith, and loved to help others. He was a member of St. Paul's Greek Orthodox Church, where he had formerly served as Chanter, and was a member of Solon Chapter No. 5, Order of AHEPA. He was a well respected Property Owner/Manager, and a long time owner/operator with his wife, Dena, of "The Welcome Inn", a neighborhood bar, which was located on the corner of Atlantic Ave and 39th St, who had many good friends and good customers for over 30 years. He was a friend of many Charities, both at Home and abroad, and will always be remembered by many for his generosity.
