A friend of mine (80 and in poor health), has been abandoned by his wife of 16 years. Her mother died, so she went to Mexico for the funeral and never came back. I feel so bad for my friend Steve. He's such a nice guy and he's had so many health issues. His wife was kind of confrontational, but I thought she was a decent person. I just can't imagine abandoning a sickly older man.
Also, he's an atheist and need prayers for salvation.
Thanks for any prayers.

Any possibility she 'can't' get back ... like something has happened to her?
Or, does he know for sure that she does not want to come back?

Lots of bad folks doing bad things out there these days.
ie, Last nite, I got majorly scammed on the phone.
Has made all kinds of work for me today, and in the days to come.
It will all be okay, but the way things ended on the phone with him was not good.
Bad person.

I hope your friend's wife has not encountered trouble down in Mexico.
Praying for them both.

She called Steve and told him that she inherited her mother's house. She said he could come down there to live with her. But, he's too sick to go anywhere. She said she "might" come back in the summer because she 'hates winter'. But he doesn't seem to think she's coming back.

That's very sad.
At his age, that's got to be hard news for him to hear.
It can sometimes get very lonely for older folks, unless they have some friends or family around.
Steve is blessed to have you for a friend ...

Yes, thankful you are his friend.

Praying. Asking the Lord to help rremove his blinders as He did with us.

"...for their minds have been blinded by the god of this age, leaving them in unbelief. Their blindness keeps them from seeing the dayspring light of the wonderful news of the glory of Jesus Christ, who is the divine image of God." (II Cor 4:4).
