One of the ladies in my bible study is in a wheelchair, she told me she was like this from birth with a disability (think it was thalidomide?) but she could walk until she had a hip operation and now she cant walk at all, and is in so much pain that shes on 27 painkillers each day and she wants to come off them but doesnt know how. She goes to rehab and it does help a bit but its exhausting. Thankfully she has a lovely husband who supports her and a great faith despite it all, but its sad that she has to be on morphine to that level, without it she says the pain is excruciating, apparently the operation was botched and her spinal nerves were affected.
I know Jesus did miracles, can he deal with this one? Being on painkillers is no fun as it makes you dependent. She says hydrotherapy helps but the silly thing is the water in the hydrotherapy pools isnt warm enough, even when people complained but council bureaucarcy is such they wont even raise it ..cutting costs, i dont know.
Its really sad to see someone have to deal with so much pain everyday that they never asked for. People in wheelchairs cant even enter my house as theres stairs, so we going to her place for bbq. Can we pray for her and also people dealing with disabilities.
