Hello everyone. I'd first like to start off that I've been a Christian my entire life. I go to church but not every week and I pray but not every night. So I am in the category of Christians. I mostly pray that me family, friends, and GF all stay safe as not much happens in my life haha. But recently I've committed a sin and I am in no means proud of it.

I have been dating my lovely GF for only about a month and a half now and we have had sex. She is a very very active girl and only has a period about every 2 months. However she has not had one in 3 months. She has been sick and very active doing swimming and soccer almost everyday so we are hoping that her period is just delayed or skipped.

I am asking for prayers for my GF to not be pregnant because we are not ready to become parents. I know this is wrong. I am here to ask for forgiveness. I realize God is not a quick fix 100 percent and I want to state my intentions are not to come to him for this one thing. My intentions are to ask for forgives of my sin. I don't know even how to ask for my GF not to be pregnant without sounding selfish or wrong. If there's a way to do it I am. I'm so scared however I know and understand God has a plan for me and will do what's best. Thank you guys.

Lord, help Austin to see through the eyes of Wisdom. Help him and his girlfriend understand clearly that sin is a catalyst for more sin. I ask that You in your mercy rescue them. But Lord, I also know that just because we are saved, we still must suffer the consequences of our actions here on Earth. Lord, show Austin and his girlfriend your convicting power in their lives. Help them to be stronger than they have been. Cause them to both look to You first before looking to each other. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

Ephesians 2:4-5

But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved—

James 2:13
For judgment is without mercy to one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.

1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Galatians 6:7-8
Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.

Hi Austin,

I'm praying for you in your uncertain situation. You need to know, first and foremost, that God loves you more than you can know, and this is an unconditional love that will never fade:

"I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, not any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:38-39

God does forgive us for our sin, but there are still consequences to it. I pray that, whatever happens, you would be confident that He has a plan for you. Remember, being a Christian is not about being a perfect or even a good person (nobody is), but about confessing to God that He is Lord over everything, and that we need Him in every area of our lives. He will give you peace, call out to him and give him your concerns and requests:

"In my desperation I prayed, and the Lord listened; He saved me from all my troubles." Psalm 34:6

Now, this verse doesn't mean that God will save you from every bad thing that happens in your life! But it means that He will give you peace and assurance of his love, even in times of trouble.

God bless,

JMS
