This is probably a long story but I want to share.
My husband was in the army for nearly 6 years. Right before he was set to get out of the army he was stop lost and sent back to Iraq for 8 months. He came home the end of July last year. In August he began looking for a job. He applied to everything. A good number of the men that he served with were applying for similar jobs (they were all air traffic controllers which is highly in demand in all sectors of the profession) and all of them were picked up some quicker than others but everyone was picked up. Most of those people used my husband's resume to make their own and all of them lied on their resume. They all have jobs. My husband has patiently waited and tried to get a job for the last 9 months and still nothing has come through.
Finally, he decided to apply to try and get into the Air Force. We found out that the Air Force is only taking 200 prior service members this year. That number includes all branches and former AF gets priority over other branches. My husband's packet is on the final step of the process and we are waiting for that final call that will let us know one way or the other. I honestly do not know where we will turn from here if he does not get into the Air Force.
I am asking for a variety of things here 1) prayers for my patience I'm so scared and frustrated that I have none, 2) that he will get in we are in desperate need know with no money and living with my mom which is putting a very heavy stress on our marriage, and 3) that we will hear something soon.
