  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Last night, my spouse chose a movie.

It was violent, with sex scenes, nudity and gore.

I tried to look away, read on my phone, distract myself.

In the night I thought about Aaron. Not only was Aaron 'part of the crowd', he actually made the golden calf!
3,000 souls died that day.

I don't want to go to hell. I still have my own issues

Please pray that The Lord opens my spouse's eyes.

You can always walk away ... go into a different room. When I was married whenever my husband was doing something that bothered me I would just remove myself from his presence. After a while he noticed this and would ask me why and my answer would be .... I just don't like being around XYZ. After a time ... he would either quit the behavior ... least wise when I was around.

You are doing the right thing, but we are not supposed to try to change our spouses except through prayer, or passively as stated above. Are you playing Christian or are you a Christian with an unsaved wife? For a Christian love your wife. It’s the main instruction Paul gave for married men. Changes the whole ball game.

So, if a believer is married to an unbelieving spouse, they should stay together (Unless the spouse wants to leave)

What if the unbelieving spouse wants the believer to leave?
The unbelieving spouse should leave, not the believer.

1 Corinthians 7:15 said:
Yet if the unbelieving one is leaving, let him leave; the brother or the sister is not under bondage in such cases, but God has called us in peace.

I pray for the strength to stand spiritually and in the Lord for you.
