Prayer request...

Ok this is all kind new to me, ive never had anyone to pray for me before, but i'll give it a try

Ok this is mainly a prayer request for direction. I'm coming up to completing college in 2 months and i just don't know what God wants me to do next! I'm torn between volunteering work abroad, going of to university with my friends or joining the army.

I may not have asked for as much help as i should have from God recently, as ive been a bit down with all sorts of probelms. My girlfriend just left me for one of my mates, my parents are both being made redundant next month and im just feeling really pesismistic

Read James 1:4-8.

If we are to honestly inquire of the Lord we must remove the idols from our hearts (read EZE 14)That means anything we put BEFORE the LORD must be take the back seat. I believe that "education" can easily become an idol for young people, esspecially since society puts so much pressure on attaining careers ect ect. The wisdom of this world is the foolishness of God. I will pray that the LORD puts you in a place to serve HIM. This may offend you, but I think the military is the worst place you could go. Those who live by the sword will die by the sword.

No offence taken at all salttoearth. Some good points there, at this point in my life i can't afford to make a bad decision which is why im asking for God to show me the right direction. I dont think i have put education before god yet (come to think of it i've never put it before anything ) Thanks for your post...

Just a quick note to say that things have sorted out really well between me and my now ex-girlfriend im sure god had something to do with the circumstances.
