Can someone pray for me? I'm a new believer who's dealing with anxiety and depression. Lately, I've been feeling so much better. I have good days and bad. It's just that now I'm finally realizing that I've let anxiety steal a huge chunk of my life. Two months ago I was in this place where the thought of leaving my house was starting to freak me out but thankfully it didn't last. I'm an adult but I don't think I've ever felt like one and I want to be financially independent and capable of taking of myself. I also hope to find a good church though I'm not sure when I'll be able to do that. I'm really isolated and rarely am I around people that I'm not related too.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Father, please show aangel how to grow in you, overcoming problems and not letting her anxiety and depression rule her life. As you said, Lord, we are to not let our hearts be afraid or troubled; we have a choice. Please, as you teach and guide her, led her to a place where she can learn from other Christians. And give her a desire to read the Bible, helping her understand what she reads. Heal her and comfort her. In your name, Jesus Christ.
aangel, take heart, I have had depression and severe anxiety in my life, and am overcoming with the Lord's help. It isn't happening overnight, but it is happening. May God bless you....
