I just encountered a client here at work, and for whatever reason, while he was waiting to be seen, he decided to open up and talk to me. Turns out he's an American who was living in Thailand as an archeologist and teacher, with his Thai wife, when they got attacked by Muslim extremists, their home was burned and his wife was raped, and now has HIV. He just arrived back in America a few weeks ago, and his wife is still in Thailand with her parents until he can get a job here and bring her over. Anyway, please say a prayer for this couple. The man (Richard) was visibly shaken and traumatized still, from this experience, and kept saying how strange he felt to be back in the U.S., but how thankful he was to be here. He also said his wife is still extremely traumatized, and will need psychological care, as well as treatment for the HIV (he has to be tested now as well, obviously); poor thing, my heart breaks for her. I told him I'd be praying for him and his wife, and hopefully I'll see him again to see how he's doing.
Thanks all!
Thanks all!
