  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

My heart is breaking and honestly I can't bare it anymore.

My parents health is declining daily, my grandmother is dying, and now my brothers fiances little bother who is 10 years old is going through chemotherapy again. He was diagnosed with Leukemia when he was 5 and receive chemo for three years but now after two biopsies last week we learned its back again. This time the chemo is going to be even stronger. Its been so hard for our family, and her family is hurting deeply. It has been their greatest fear and its painful even watching them go through it all.

I cry, I pray, but I have no strength left at times. My mind wonders off and sometimes I forget and then when I remember I fall apart. I dont know what to do but be by their side and ask for prayers.

Ethy, being by their side and asking for prayers IS the best thing to do. In situations like these, we can't rely on ourselves, our strength, our wisdom, our abilities to cope, because there's really nothing we have to offer ourselves or our loved ones. This is the time to just dump it on God and let HIM carry you through, as well as the people you love. It's a scary thing sometimes, to take our hands off everything and trust God in the midst of despair and confusion, but it can also be a strangely liberating and peaceful thing, and it allows Him to work in all of you in ways you may not imagine. I know what it's like to be with someone through a terminal illness, and go through all the emotions of fear, anger, doubt, rage, despair, hope, etc.. and still have to say goodbye in the end, and THEN go through the next myriad of emotions afterward. Especially learning not to rage at God about it anymore... I'll never know why... focusing on the "why" will drive us insane, honestly. So I have to focus on what I DO know - the love I shared with this person, and their unshaken faith to the end of their life. Those are the beautiful things that matter more than the "why".

Thank you.

I talked to my mom today, she seems in great spirits. Actually, she always is even when she is in pain. I wish I was like her. =) I wanted to clean up around the house before I go. I don't know when they will let her out but I want the house clean before she comes home. :)

Vicky thank you so much for those words, I read them last night before I slept and had pleasant dreams. Thank you.

Bless yer heart. Lifting up each dear one to the God Who is the God of the seemingly impossible, Who is ABLE, Who is our Healer, our VERY PRESENT HELP in our times of trouble, and Who is the Lifter of our heads. Father intervene, minister to, and heal as only You can do, in the name of Jesus, amen. (((hug)))
