I've been out of work for two weeks because of my knee. Well today is the doctors appointment that determines my fate. I am really nervous. Please pray that I get a good report and am able to go back to work.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Just got back. Word is that the doctor did not release me to work. He extended my leave for 3 more weeks. I got the paperwork to file for short term disability tomorrow. His recommendation was to get an MRI, but I can't afford that. So the other option is to keep working it out on my own to gradually work my way off the crutches. He said to find a brace that I could wear more that will also immobilize. I have no idea where to find one of those. So thank you for your prayers. It wasn't what I wanted to hear him say, but I know it's probably what is best for me right now.
