Oh yeah I'm back ;)

Whilst I was on my wonderful weekend away down the coast, someone ran into my car - which means I have a lovely big scrape and dent across my passenger side. At least it's driveable, I can still open the petrol tank and still get someone seated in the passenger side. The only thing I CAN'T do is open the passenger window!!! The silly person didn't even stop to help, or give me contact details about it

 I really need someone to pray as I go to my insurance company tomorrow (I hope) and claim on this. Any prayer about this would be great - I don't have much money and this is the main stressor I have when I think about this...

Thanks guys,

Sasch

haha, petrol, I love you brits :)

If it makes you feel ANY better....about 3-4 weeks ago, a psychotic(nicely spoken) ex-acquaintance female friend of mine decided to take a screwdriver to the driver side of my car, and now I have an aftermarket pin-stripe job(about 6 times over :))...so I was like, oh well, no big deal, $600 bucks and it'll be fixed...all I gotta do is drive in the farthest-left lane at all times, and im still lookin cool drivin it...well....4 days after im drivin down a beach strip and some guy decides to pull out and play dodge ball with his and my car, ended up hitting my passenger side causing around $2,000 in damage...so now, no matter what lane I drive in, im NOT cool :( big big bummer....oh and yeah :prayer:

I thought it was just in the states that people were totally careless and unwilling to be responsible for their actions. *shrug* I've had my brand new car 'keyed' a while ago and I'm sure you know, it doesn't leave you with warm happy feelings nor thoughts, but, believe it or not, you'll get over it. :p

I'm sorry for your troubles. I will pray for you, your car, your insurance, and your finances as well. I'm sorry your weekend was ruined by a heartless driver. :(

Hang in there though, you're still young and have plenty of new cars and great weekends ahead of ya. ;)

you mean aussie.. lol and we call it petrol because it is petroleum.

sascha that is bad news... sucks when it happens.. someone scraped up the front bumper on my mums brand new car, will cost a fair bit to fix because it has ruined the plastic, so the whole bumper needs to be replaced.. :(

I knew what you mean - seeing it's called 'Liquid Petroleum' it makes sense to call it petrol :p - anyway, I digress...

Currently onto the phone to my insurer - $650 so far she's saying... Jesus, please help me to have the words to beg my parents for a loan - this is the first time I've ever asked my parents for money since I've been out of home (2 years), and I really dread the thought...

Thanks guys for all the prayers - and keep going!!! Also, pray that the insurers let me have loan of a car for the next few weeks whilst mine is repaired - apparently I am entitled to that, considering I have a lifetime rating one now (pity I couldn't have had my first 'incident' AFTER I was 25!!! :sigh:

i'm praying for your situation, sasch. that first accident is always a doozy - i recall when i was rear-ended... no major injuries, i got a bit of whiplash, and their car was demolished. somehow mine was just fine, simply a cracked bumper. go figure.

if it's any further consolation, know that i find britspeak (tm) simply irresistable. know that reading your post made me smile, in spite of it's unfortunate nature, and bask in the glow of my joy :p

peace and love,
alberto

from what youve said about the damage $650 is a pretty good price. one of my mates has a brand new car (nearly $20,000aud worth of car), and it got keyed all over and the rear window smashed (for no reason either) and it was almost classed as a write off! just because of the cost to repair it.. so i think you have got a good deal there sascha!

im praying that it all works out for you sascha. :)

Yikes. Your insurence doesn't cover that kind of thing? I remember the first time that I had to aask for money last year (after not living at home for about 4 years). I felt like a bugger of a leech, maybe even a bit of a hoser. Anyway, I think I know how you feel there. I said a quick prayer for you too!
