Prayer request

Hi all, I understand this is probably not the "prayer request" forum but I am in real need of prayer and who to go to other than spirit filled christians?

The past few days/weeks/months I've been under major attack from Satan. I've been told that it was because I may be doing something right and he wants to silence me. Today I am feeling very depressed and have been having thoughts of suicide.

This has actually been creeping up on me for some time and while the lord has been helping me through it all, today I feel really weak and vulnerable.

If anyone has any scriptures I can read please share and please help me pray I really need your support. Thank you all.

PS. I really feel bad coming on here and asking for prayer for some reason. It'm sorry if I annoy everyone with my frequent requests. Makes me feel like a loser.

I'm praying for you and know that you're not alone. Don't EVER feel bad for asking for prayer. That is what we are supposed to be doing, anyway.

There's no such thing as too much prayer. The apostle Paul told us to "pray without ceasing", and we are to make intercession for one another.

The devil is a liar! He wants to destroy you so that you cannot do what God wants you to do. He will kill you out of spite and because he enjoys destroying the saints more than anything in this world.

But the Bible says that greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world! No weapon fashioned against me shall prosper! Jesus > satan!

Satan wants to tear you down because he can see into the spiritual realm and he knows (in part) what God wants to do in and through you. Satan wants to stop that, because he knows that if he lets God get ahold of you then you will tear down his (Satan's) kingdom!

Lord Father God, I lift up my brother before You. I thank You for making him and saving him. Lord, I pray right now that in the name of Jesus Christ the attacks of the enemy would be silenced. Let the blood of Jesus cover my brother and all his house, Lord. Set up a spiritual hedge of protection around him. Lord, I thank You that Your word says that no weapon fashioned against us shall prosper. I thank You that Your word says that the angel of the LORD encamps round about those who fear You, Lord. Lord, I thank You that Jesus came not just to die for our sins but to live again as our Saviour, Healer, Deliverer, Protector, and Friend! I thank You that we have an Advocate in heaven interceeding for the saints. Lord God, we stand now upon Your precious, eternal, infalliable word. Rebuke the devourer for our sakes, Lord. Push satan and his demons away, Lord, in Jesus' precious, holy name. Amen!!

I'm so sorry to hear about what you're going through ~ I can completely sympathize because I'm going through the same thing.

Check with your local Pastor to see if he can recommend a Deliverance Minister in your area. Also, visit the "Deliverance Ministry" section on this website. I'm going through a deliverance now with the Deliverance Minister and my Pastor. I'm only a few sessions in, but I believe this will be a very positive step!!!

Thank you all so much for the prayers and advice. Thanks to God the agony of living (demonic attacks) have subsided a great deal the past few days.

Everytime I start to feel like I'm losing it I reach for the telephone and get word from a fellow Christian friend.
It's helped a lot. The devil was really messing with me as I was isolating myself from everyone who could help me. Then I would be depressed because I felt as though no one was there or cared. Stupid huh?

Today:

50 people got laid off at my office. I am thankful to God that I was not one of them. I feel a bit of sadness and bitterness though because of how people are being treated. Just think, you come back from Thanksgiving to find out that you have no employment. :-(

Still, I'm thankful that God watched over my job. I know if it weren't for his grace I wouldn't even be here typing this.

No, actually, that makes PERFECT sense to me with what I'm going through. It takes another person whose going through what you are to understand perfectly what you're talking about!!

I'm very happy to hear that things are going better though! Don't forget to continue to stay strong in God's word (put on the armor of God) to fight off those demonic influences!
