[Alive again]

Long story short, 12 years very sick finally one med helped, felt better, got life back, lost 100 lbs, loving life, SIDE EFFECT-life threatening possiblities so must stop med, no other med out there that works chemically in exactly the same way, but there are other mood stabilizers, just none of then have ever helped.

Please pray for me as I wean from this med and step thru into whatever God has planned for this next phase of my life, for I know that my God has a plan, He will not leave me of forsake me wherever He chooses to takew me I will follow, but it is a frightening step as this is the only medicine that has ever helped me and I may be stepping back into uncontrolled illness, and believe me, my pdoc an I have tried all the meds out there.

So I covet your prayers as I trust God to take care of me.

Also I will be traveling in the next week, so it may be awhile before I am able to update you all.

You never know the chemical balance may of changed and that one is not needed or there might well be a med out there that might work.


Today's meds are changing fast THANK GOD!! So never give up hope or be afraid to try something new if needed.

That is why I do not share about those details. If you have a question about your meds, the safest and best person to talk to is your doc or pharmacist, thus i do not accidently encourage anyone to stop one of their meds.

My doc knew of this potential side effect and we did the approp labwork to check for it and low and behold there it was. But it does not happen for everyone, thus everyone needs to work with their doctor and their own body as we all respond differently, even to the same med.

She probably would have mentioned if she was comfortable saying it publicly.

there is a history of people talking about certain drugs and side effects that has caused uncomfortable situations/ unnessasary medication topics... so I know I'm less likely to talk about drug specifics here. Not everybody is the same with risk tolerance, side effects and problems. it is healthier for us to talk to doc.

I'll definitely be praying for you alive again.

Just got home from travels late last night, have only weaned one half due to my previously scheduled trip. I am exhausted, and so am glad I did not wean completely as I know I would be out of control today if I had. I will have a repeat lab today and see my dac tomorrow. In all honesty I am praying for a miracle, that my blood test will be normal, and I won't have to wean more, but if it is still too low, I will have to wean off my med completely. doc says that you usually have to come off completely and can not take med again, but she is willing to let me try it again after I am off completely and see if it recurs. So that is the basic plan at this time. Thank you all for your love and concerns!!!

Not very good. Still nauseated on starting dose of Lithium.

I'll keep praying for you and that the blood test will be normal. That sounds like an uncomfortable and disappointing situation since you were doing well with that drug.

I am praying for you also, there are other meds if lithium does not work out. When do you see doc again? Does he/she know of your nausea?

Not scheduled until May 17th. If the nausea keeps up for another week and a half I'll call him and ask if we can try something else before I see him again.

I'm getting extremely anxious because of some stresses this weekend and am having a hard time, feeling very hopeless about drugs, and having a hard time keeping my head straight.

My blood work was completely normal today and I only had to decrease my med by 1/2 the dose!!!! I call that an amzing answer to prayer!!!!!

It sounds like you are wisely thinking things through. I am also praying for you. these times of holidays and stressors of life and med adjustments and side effects can be difficult. Know that there are those of us out here who understand, and care, and that we are keeping you in our prayers and are wanting to know how you are.
May this Easter be a time when God renews your hope!
