  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I turned in my last test to my doctor required for Gastric Bypass surgery.
What comes next is submital to medicaid for approval, then a written test from the surgeons office, and then surgery.

I have been in the process a year now.

I am ready. This is my last ditch effort to get healthy.
I weigh 470 right now.
Have struggled all my life not to gain and to lose, with no permanant results.

I am unable to walk much.
Have arhtitis, and a list of physical ailments, but not the serious "fat illness" (blood pressure, disabetes, heart. all healthy)
So there is a good chance i might avoid them by getting this surgery.
Pray that the approval comes soon, that all the paper work finally got tothe surgeon right (there had been months and months of miscommunication between the surgeons office and my docs office), and that there are no complications form the surgery, no or little pain, and i recover quickly and most of all it works and i get healthy and active again.
and can make a normal life for myself where i am not homebound and isolated from others. :)

Thank you..

May the Lord be with you and protect you on your path to better health; may you recover from the illnesses that give you discomfort and threaten your health; may you have confidence on your path and feel strength, courage and hope; may your doctors be guided and may those of fellowship and support be led to your path; may you have peace and joy in your life; may you be protected and restore your good health. You may have to suffer whilst you learn to nurture yourself. I know that sounds harsh, but I'm only trying to help. Aim to be who You want to be. Always hold your head Up, and never give Up.

If you are hungry with healthy food, just give yourself permission to get frustrated for 2 whole minutes, then see if it was really worth turning to the wrong food.

You have to feel through your emotions, no matter how complicated they are or may seem.
- Not to suppress your feelings with food.

You should learn to see past unhealthy food and realise they do not help you.

You have every right to feel the way you want to feel, to act the way you want, the choices to help yourself, to set your expectations higher than normal.

You have all those rights, never doubt yourself, always listen to YOU and your feelings. If you feel happy, if you feel angry, it's YOUR Right! If you feel like you have to lose weight, it's your right. :) :)

Many of us get this fix through doing one thing in our lives, a not doing other things.
OR not accepting ourselves for who we really are in our lives.

The real fix is getting the right balance in our lives. That involves, Patience (patience, in terms of time restraints, and having to wait for things), Persistance( persitance of goals, persistance in doing what you have to do, for you and others) and Peace (living in the moment, feeling, being happy with yourself in the moment). Then everything else will work out. ^_^

May you wrap your loving arms around her in your name Jesus. Amen.
