In Philipians is says...Finally brothers, whatever is true,....think about such things. I find myself thinking a lot about things and situations which are not true. (I am not talking about sexual fantasies or anything of that nature.) I would really appreciate prayer that I think about those things which are true and real only. Somehow this seems "impossible" at the moment, but I know that is not true. Thanks.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

You are not alone. Jesus is with you, and He will give you light to see Him through the trial that you are in. I know, because I am struggling with this type of thing as well. Nothing makes Satan happier than to have those who believe focused on falsehood.
I pray that the LORD would grant you to have faith in His love and faithfulness toward you even though your thoughts might lead you to believe otherwise, and that He would bring a speady deliverance for you either through or out of your trial. In Jesus' name. Amen.

I wanted to thank you for your prayers.
I am glimpsing and slowly grasping that it is so much better to think on those things which are true, but it is so easy for me to fall away from doing this because thinking about things/situations which are not true is a very old and well established habit. But I am finding it is not a good habit and I would like to have more of a desire and the self discipline to change it.

I pray that our Lord will give you the strength and discipline you need to focus on what is true. That you will find the truth and reality that you seek. I pray that you will trust in God for help because we, alone, can not change ourselves. I know that our loving Father will bless you and help you in this area of your life. Continue to Pray and Trust Him and things will come for you, it may take time, and that's ok just pray! God Bless! You're in my prayers!

Knowing truth and knowing God is a good goal and journey. I have experienced some growth in percieving God these past couple of days. Veils have been lifted off my eyes. One thing I can say is that God guides us in different ways and that our relationship with him is an individual thing. God knows us all to every hair and works with us differently as we have need. God uses what will work with us. This is a small piece of truth God has given me.
I pray it will be within God's will that your journey to truth be easier than mine has been at times.
