Prayer Request Please

Shalom all,

Yesterday my 11 yr old son wrecked on a bicycle and lacerated his spleen.They thought he may have to have sugery becauses of the internal bleeding, but his hemoglobin levels improved, and for now it *seems* the bleeding has stopped.
He's is doing much better now and was allowed to eat today, and finally could laugh with out too much pain.He will be bed ridden for quite a while and will have to be home schooled for the rest of the school year.

To make matters worse I thought he was "crying wolf" as he can be a bit overly dramatic about an injury at times, but thank G_D my wife listened better than me and we got him to the E.R. where they discovered what he had damaged. I feel horrible for not believing he was hurt.

It's been a long couple of days and nights but things are looking better.

Oh, Ily.... Look, parents are people...don't beat yourself up. He's okay...he got to the hospital...you can't demand perfection, even from yourself...that's why God gave each child 2 parents...to work as a team so that all the bases are covered...the system worked as it should...in other words, that's why you have a wife...to catch what you might miss...and you are there to catch what she might miss.

If you ask me, your son is obviously in very good hands.

Thank you and everyone for your kind words, and encouragement, prayers etc...If we need advice on the homeschooling I will certainly contact you scwartmrs, and thanks for the kinf offer.

My seat belt is fastened for sure, as I remember all the trips to the hospital when I was young.I have 3 brothers, and I don't know how my parents managed, or atleast I didn't until I had my own children, but we stopped at 2.One boy one girl, we bat 1,000 and stopped the child making.

I praise HaShem for creating all you wonderful people, and I am blessed to be able to learn from and with you.

Now I have to sleep as me and my wife traded shifts at the hospital, and coming home to sleep.
