My dog, Honey, is around 15 years old. At around 3am, my family and I awoke to sounds downstairs, and found Honey having cluster seizures. They were very intense, and the sound of her grinding her teeth through her seizures will forever haunt me. We took her to the animal hospital about two hours later after her 6th or so episode, realizing we couldn't do anything for her at home.
She is now under treatment, and has been given injections to stop the seizures. However, the Dr. said that at such an old age, we may be fighting a losing battle for Honey, especially considering we are always stretching our finances thin with the little we have allowed them to do. She is staying overnight at the hospital, and I am left here to sit at home and worry. They say she has improved, but that it's still not assured that she will remain that way. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE pray that God works a miracle and heals her completely!! The doctor even said that it is very unlikely that her seizures will stop forever and not come back, but thankfully God isn't restricted by the words of a Doctor! I want to be able to take her home tomorrow and never have to experience seeing her seize again!!
