Prayer Request for Pre-term baby

My cousin Karrie is having a c-section in about 45 mins. She is 35 weeks 3 days along!!

She has HELLP syndrome which is along the lines of pre-eclampsia but her liver enzymes are and red blood platelets are off. she is seeing stars, her whole body is itching, shes been nauseus 6 or more hours a day.

they did an amnio yesterday to find out if the baby's lungs were fully developed and they are..so they find it best for mom to deliver baby now!!

Pray for my cousin karrie and her baby girl, that all goes well for both!

my heart and prayers go out to both of them and you and all family.

I was just reading about HELLP earlier... my dr is worried about my blood presure, but the high blood pressure is the only thing that is off all other test have come back normal, still if it hasn't gone down by wednesday they may go ahead and take him then... I'll be 35 weeks 4 days... give or take a day or two

Both Karrie and Baby Caeli are fine!! no ICU!! woo hoo! Praise God!! Caeli is 6 lbs 12 ozs!!

Andi..if it makes ya feel better..i had luke at 35 wks and 2 days..and karrie just had Caeli at 35 wks and 3 days..and BOTH babies were fine..no ICU.....fully developed!!

Robert was born at 31 weeks... he was in the NICU for 6 weeks... and really hasn't had too many problems... I just really want to go to term... or atleast past the 18th of this month (my shower) but what ever is best for me and him...
and the sooner I have him the sooner I can get back to work to pay these bills off... not that I really want to go back...
I think I am a bit afraid of being induced... heard bad things about it, and even worse fear of a c-section... I don't want to take any anistetic because I tend to feel the effects longer than people generally do... but they don't put people compltly under unless there are serious problems... I think anyway...
it is this waiting that is driving me nuts

i didnt have to have c-section with Luke. I did have to have the pitocin of course and the labor was really long since he was only 35 weeks along. But ya know what..once it was over ..it was all worth it..
The doctors will know what to do. How high has your blood pressure been? i will be praying for you that they dont deliver the baby till absolutely necessary.

The doctors will know what to do. How high has your blood pressure been? i will be praying for you that they dont deliver the baby till absolutely necessary.

last week it was 147 over 65.... my normal is arround 110 over 65....

That is a bit high, hopefully it won't be as high this week. Was there any protein in your urine? If not, even if the blood pressure is still high this week ask the doctor if you can set up induction for next week instead of this week..then you will be past the 36 week mark and have even a better chance of the baby being totally fine and big enough with fully working lungs.

no protine in the urine, blood work was normal... entire time in the hospital the blood pressure was normal. I wish that it could be done after the 19th. cause I really want t be pregnate for my shower

I checked it yesterday and it was like 120 over 74 I think...

great!!!! make sure you tell the DOCTOR what that blood pressure was yesterday..and try to stay as calm as possible when you go to the doc's office so the pressure doenst go up only due to nervousness!! Remember..just because a doctor SUGGESTS something..doesnt mean you have to do it. If there is no protein in the urine and its ONLY the blood pressure..i would seriously think about telling the doctor you want to wait alteast another week..maybe 2.
