  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I took the opportunity to say hi to my neighbors this afternoon. They're a family that I have seen out in their yard periodically and always waived and said hi to, but never formally met.

They have a couple of sons that are about my age and they were working on their truck in the driveway and I went over and introduced myself.

We talked about cars for a while and they helped me rotate my tires. Afterwards, the younger brother pulled me aside and said that he wanted to talk about something.

He said his father is Pakistani and a devout Islam. The brother accepted Christ 6 months ago and he and the rest of his family have been fighting over religion and that he was really struggling. He shared some other things, and I asked him if I could pray for him, and we did.

I invited him to call anytime, that I'd love to hang out and work on cars, or run or whatever.

It was such a cool blessing to see God at work, but I do want to lift my new friend Elheed up in prayer, that God will give him wisdom when speaking to his family, and that his fathers heart would be opened to Christ. I also pray courage for him to continue to walk and grow with Christ and that he would find a church to get plugged into.

Chris what a wonderful God planned encounter.

I am thrilled that you got into conversation. Jesus is so good.

I'll be praying for this new Christian and for the whole Family. For them all to know Jesus and the Brother to be able to find and keep fellowship.

Much peace
Gentle-Heart
