Is prayer journaling the same as praying?


Just curious to see what others have to say. Do you believe that writing a prayer in a prayer journal is the same as speaking out a prayer to God. Does God acknowledge a written prayer just the same as he acknowledges a spoken prayer? I seem to be able to pray longer when I write to God as opposed to speaking the prayer. I personally think that writing a prayer to God is no different than writing a love letter to your wife or girlfriend. Both come from the heart right and I think that's what matters most to God, that the prayer comes from the heart, wether it's written or spoken.

That sounds like a great way to get into some deep prayertime. I know I do my best thinking when I write things in longhand. Praying in a journey also would be a great way to keep track of answered prayer and that sure helps with faith.
