God doesn't answer prayers when you're in sin, but what if you're stuck in a situation that causes you to sin and you don't want to sin and you can't get out of of the situation?

How can you get help?

If God didnt answer prayers while you are in sin, all would remain sinners and none would be saved.....

We are all fallen short of God's glory and as such are all sinners. But the saved ones have grace :]

How can you get help?

Truly confess (for real) directly to God, with sincere heart --

8 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.


After you have truly confessed, taking as long as needed...
Then pray for help to be changed so that you are less tempted by the sin.

Also, crucially, begin to each day pray the prayer Christ gave you, me, all believers, so that we would pray this perfect prayer for aid we so need. The prayer in Matthew chapter 6, verses 5-15.

He is just and faithful to forgive!

I have difficulty imagining a situation where you're stuck in a situation that causes you to sin.

Recovery Related Spiritual Advice

This sub-forum is for members who are struggling with a recovery issue and dealing with spiritual struggles because of or related to it. Posts that deal with issues of sexuality and wanting to overcome sexual issues will be moved to the Struggles with Sexuality Forum. Posts that are not seeking advice, will be removed or moved if possible to a more appropriate area.

This forum provides support as well as encouragement from others going through similar issues or who have possibly been successful at making those changes.
