I've been in severe pain, with my fibromyalgia, since last night. Sorry to be a bother, but this is awful.

Thanks for the prayers, guys. I'm doing a little better this morning.

I had this surgery at 42. It's tough, but you will get through it. May God watch over you.I'm scheduled to have an abdominal hysterectomy a week from Monday. I would appreciate your prayers, both for the surgery, and for me to not to have doubts about my decision to do this. There are good reasons for me to do it, but the decision is complicated by the fact that my husband and I have never been able to have children, and even though I'm 43, we would still still have welcomed children even now.
I also need God's grace to get through the next week. I'll be out of commission for up to 6 weeks, and there is a LOT to do at my work to get ready. I also have commitments at church in the upcoming week that will keep me busy. And yesterday, I came down with food poisoning or something, so I had to rest for the day, and didn't get anything done.
I know that God is watching out for me in all this. I'm so thankful that He takes such good care of us. Actually, getting food poisoning yesterday helped me slow down and just trust that He would give me the grace to get all this done. I had been kind of running in a frenzy prior to that.
Any prayers you would consider offering for me would be much appreciated.

Thanks for your prayers...things have calmed down a little with my pain.Continue praying.
Are you getting used to the new place?
Ed
Amen.
Lord, in Your mercy look with favor upon joyfulthanks as she faces surgery this coming week. In the midst of the flurry of activity before then, may you provide peace, patience, and trust that you indeed are in control. We pray for her and her husband - bless them with the love that can only come from you. Grant the doctors and nurses the right use of their skills to accomplish this work. Bring her speedy recovery. Help both wife and husband to accept your work in their lives. May you use them mightily in your kingdom.
Through Jesus Christ, your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God now and forever. Amen

Plan for the full 6 weeks to take care of yourself. Recovery takes time with this one...I've been there. I couldn't go back to work for 6 1/2 weeks.Only a couple of more days until the surgery (abdominal hysteretomy). I'm very tired. I praise God, though, for getting me through this grueling and emotional week at work, with church activities, and with preparation for surgery. Thank you to those of you who have prayed for me. I have been surrounded by overwhelming love and support from friends and family. I thank the Lord for that, and that all the preparations needed to be out of commission for several weeks are just about complete (by His grace).
My recovery period is supposed to be 3-6 weeks, so if you care to remember me in your prayers for awhile yet it would be much appreciated.
