CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hope just finished speaking with her sister on the phone. Apparently Hope's sister is in the hospital. She has a fever of 103F and has been have abdominal pains. That is all we really know at the moment. Hope has asked for everyone to pray for her sister.

I hope and pray everything will be OK with her and doctors quickly find what causes this fever and pain.

My brother Timothy was in an accident at work yesterday. As I have heard it, he was trying to break strength on some chain binders holding a can to a flatbed trailer when apparently something slipped. My supervisor ran around to see what had happened and found Tim holding his mouth with blood dripping down. He was taken to Allenmore hospital. The supervisor has told me that there is hole in his lip, he may have lost a couple of teeth and last thing heard was he was being taken in for a CT scan. We don't know if he broke his jaw or nor. I don't expect to see Tim at work today, which means we are down one loader, but I am asking for prayer that he will be able recover from this without too much difficulty. Thank you.

Update on Timothy:
He is doing well. He has stitches on both the inside and outside of his lower lip (which is really puffy right now). The dentist that did the emergency work on his damaged tooth did an excellent job, you can't tell it was ever broken. He is still in a lot of pain and he seems rather upset because of the time he's lost at work. At least he is doing alright and it looks like he will be able to recover fully.

I ask for your prayers for my congregation. Between the serious economical situation, bad weekend weather of late, and a rash of illnesses in an already small congregation, our finances are in serious trouble. Our church may not be able to continue much longer.

My Lord God. I thank you for giving me the opportunity to pray. May your will be done concerning this congregation. But I do pray for DaRev and his family. Please provide financial security to him and peace of heart and encouragement that you can provide.

Coming to all of you for prayers for my brother and sister in law again
Mom (and I) think that Melissa might have ovarian cancer. She has all the "point to it" signs but her current GYN is blowing her off. Her Mom is friends with a woman who is the receptionist for a very good GYN and this woman is working on getting Melissa into see him. Please pray that Melissa gets the needed tests and that she does NOT, in fact, have ovarian cancer.
And Keith is still having bad chest pains. His medicine helps but not enough and with Melissa being as sick as she is and with his high stress job (he's a Police Officer), it's just not going to get better. Keith will probably need a stint put in the vessel that's blocked by the deformity so that it (the deformity) doesn't squeeze so much that it cuts off the flow so completely.
They're in their young 30s and have 2 children, Lindsey and Luke, who are under the age of 10. Please keep them all in your prayers.
