  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Update on Tiger. He had his regular doctor appointment on Monday. The doctor put him in the hospital where he was pumped full of antibodies (a donated blood product). Tuesday he was much better and he was allowed to go home. Hubby was ordered to eat pickles and suck on lemon drops to try to dissolve a calcium deposit. Our Thanksgiving Day plans to visit my sister were cancelled--didn't dare pass any viruses on to the little ones. So we spent a quiet day at home playing games, watching movies, and looking for the misplaced gutter clips for the Christmas lights.
Prayers for Tiger and DH.

I had stones in a sub-maxillary gland many years ago. They had to remove it.

Also------I just received an email that my previous pastor had multiple heart attacks and didn't even know it. His only symptom was shortness of breath. It's so bad that he might have to have a heart transplant. Prayers please.

Another update on Tiger--he saw the doctor again Tuesday and was allowed to go back to school on Wednesday. He had something, they are not sure what, but it was not mono. However, the tests showed he has had mono at some point in his life. He has 8 months of chemo yet to go. Anyway, he was very happy to get back to school. Thanks to everyone for all the prayers.

The pastor's wife and son came through the transplant doing very well. They are still at Mayo Clinic/St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN.

Thank God.

I hope and pray there are no complications.

Please pray for me. :)

I am selling my place and moving into a room. :)

This is one of the things I apparently need to do to continue my new "career" :) in Christian volunteer circles.
I need to generate interest, so the money do not deplete that quickly.

My pool table is also going. :)

Interesting thing about getting rid of stuff. Very unexpected feelings.
Once I had a chipped coffee cup and wanted to dispose of it.
I could not!
I am looking at this chipped cup in amazement and cannot throw it in trash.
The CUP owned ME.
I did it afterall. :D:)

Thanks, :)
Ed

Wow, Ed. That is a big step. My wife would like you to come and reduce my library by several thousand. ;)

May God continue to bless your efforts in working for Christian organizations.
My books stay. :)
I asked the guy if I could install wall shelves, the ones above the head.
He said OK.
It probably will look a bit crampy, but my height is once again comes through as a blessing. :D:)

I could install a lot of shelving. :D:)

Thanks, :)

Could I get prayers that the medication I desperately need to control my diabetes will, upon appeal, be approved instead of the denial that I received today.

And that I can keep my glucose levels down in the meantime.

Kae

Indeed. Lord, we come to your throne of grace for this special need for Kae. It seems that the denial is contrary to what is needed. But we know that you are the ultimate physician. May you cause circumstances to change so that the approval might be given, or that an even better solution will be made evident to the board/group. Sustain Kae during this time of stress and uncertainty. We trust in your loving and gracious work through all of this. Through Jesus Christ, your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen

Thanks, Seajoy!

Here's an update...

Got a call from the Doc's office. She's going to have me see an Endocrinologist (I've seen him before and I LOVE him. Nice guy!) so that he can help me with getting the medication I need. I'll also be talking with my diabetes educator and my oncologist to enlist their help as well. Doc is going to try and get me some samples to tide me over until we can get this all straightened up

I see the Endocrinologist on Monday at 10:30. I'm sure he'll be able to help in some way.
