Lord, allow him to get the time off he wants and that he can enjoy some vacation time. If his boss cannot give him the months he wants, that his boss say why and not leave him guessing as to why he was refused the months he wanted. Be there for him and show him you are listening, that you will be there every step of the way. I pray for this, in Jesus name, Amen.

Update:
My prayer was answered.
I talked with my boss and he gave me the okay. I would have been fine with him, saying he needed me here.
I praise God that there was clear communication.
