This is a post from priyas thread. She is in surgery right now and it is said that if two people are in agreement it shall come to pass. I am believing for that surgeon to be able to take out all the cancer and that God is going to heal her through the surgeons hands TODAY. Lets pray together and come into agreement that priya will be healed today..she is very special to me..she is one of the most funny giving kindhearted and caring people I have ever met..always thinking of others..it is our turn to think of her..
Hello my friends. Its just easiest if I paste a copy of an email that I have sent to everyone. I will be leaving for hospital in 3 hours and will be in surgery in 6 1/2 hours. Thank you for all of your kind thoughts and prayers.
Our Family is in serious need of prayer. First of all, my father stumbled and fell on his shoulder 2 weeks ago; he ruptured a disk in his neck (C6) and has had a halo brace put on. He has since developed pneumonia and is now in ICU. They were unable to intubate him today and had to put in a tracheostomy. They have given him a 60% chance of making it through. The organs they are most worried about are his lungs, kidneys and his heart. I feel calm and positive that God will bring him through this. My parents first grandchild will be arriving in February next year, and I believe that Dad will be there to hold her.
Tomorrow I will be having surgery as well. Last Thursday, the same day that Dad went into hospital I was told by my surgeon that he thought the tumors in my stomach were Gastro intestinal stomal tumors (GIST). They do not have a good prognosis chemo and radiation therapy does not work for this form of tumor. I have not told my family what the Dr thinks the tumor is, they have enough to worry about without me adding to it. They know that I will be having surgery tomorrow, but they think that the tumor is benign. I have asked if I could postpone my surgery, but Dr wants me to have the surgery ASAP, I have enlarged lymph nodes and my liver function tests are not good.
I am very close to my family and keeping this from them is very hard. I have a wonderful husband and a beautiful best friend and they have not left me alone for a minute since I saw the surgeon last week.
I know that God knows the desires of our hearts, but I am still asking for prayer and support. I said to God that he can take me just make sure that Dad will be ok. My best friend said to me you know how much I love you, well Jesus loves you so much more, he died for you I must have heard this a thousand times before, but it was the first time that it really really meant something.
Please pray for us. The next 48 hours will be critical for my father and I.
