Prayer for pregnancy...praises to the Lord.

My husband and I of 8 years (one 16 yr old stepdaughter who lives with us and a natural born 5 yr. old son) just found out that we are pregnant!!! I am 44 years old. This was not planned. I have been healthy and everything has been "regular" with no signs of the baby factory shutting down any time soon.
Please pray:That our child will be NORMAL, HEALTHY, beautiful/handsome, full of the Spirit of God and have a heart of joy and love. (much like we prayed for our son; which he is...thank the Lord...)
For me: I feel like Sarah; too old to have more children but I will not scoff and question the power of God in my life and His will for our lives. I have always been concerned about the health of babies born to older mothers; I was 38 when my son was born...physical, spiritual and mental and emotional strength and much FAITH!!!
For my husband: thanking God for his change in behavior since the last pregnancy and praying that he will be much more compassionate and understanding NOW...(he is happy about this knowing that God has control of all of this...it is marvelous to us.)
For our daughter and son: that they will welcome another sister (we think) or brother into their home.

thank you so much...i am joyfully at peace; expectantly (no pun intended) hopeful in faith and wait upon the Lord...

I have been praying that the Lord have ALL OF ME for the past few months...well...I would say that my prayer is beginning to be answered. I am prostate before His throne like I have NEVER been before...I am HIS...ALL OF ME...may the Lord Jesus be honored and glorified and may MANY come to know the living Savior through our lives as we trust in Him...day by day...

That is beautiful. You may think you are too old but the Lord doesnt. God blesses us with our children. Praise God for another new life. I pray that all goes well for you sister. Please take care of yourself.
I am 42 and would be very happy to be pregnant again if and when the Lord blesses me with another child or not.

Thank you all...

Praises be to God and God alone...we did not plan nor did we even expect...My husband has already begun to go into this pregnancy with "renewed eyes and mind" of what this means and it does to his wife. I feel like Mary; Lord let it be unto thine handmaiden as Thy will...

Also...joeblowcanadian...I love the name Samuel...I wanted to name our 5 yr old Jacob Samuel.( one who GRABS his inheritance as Jacob grabbed the heel of Esau and one whom answers "speak Lord for Thy servant heareth: ..he has a great love of the Lord at such a young age...and strong headed too!!!

If a girl, my husband says that her name will be CHRISTyl. (and maybe Christyl Rose...then our last name rather than crystal, which is nice ) a derivative of Christ ...the Anointed of God.

I feel that this will be a very NEW time for me...I am already 'on my face' and at peace.

O Father, what a wonderful blessing You have given to our sister! What a beautiful treasure she holds. Lord, bless this child. Let there be nothing wrong with her, phyisically nor mentally, but let her continue to grow perfect inside her mother's womb. Lord, we rejoice over this new life, for as You form her, as You place inside her gifts, talents, and character, we know that this life, is a life, that is made in Your Image. Lord, let both mother and child, be healthy throughout this pregancy. Give to them Lord Father, from the abundance of Your Hand, filling them with You Lovingkindness every moment. Amen and Hallelujah; Praises to the Lord God Almighty for what He has done...
thank you so much for your prayers...how encouraging to hear of your faith and trust in the Lord. He is so awesome.I had my first visit today with a nurse practitioner and I should be getting confirmation on gestation (I think at 7 weeks now) and due date; my husband's birthday Sept 28!!

So far; family and friends are supportive and prayerful and I am at peace...May the Lord have His way in and through my life; my marriage and my children in Jesus' Name..
