If there is a day in the life of a family that you don't want to see come about, it is today. My father will be 84 years old this month and he has had alzheimers for the past seven years. It has come the time that we have to put him in the alzheimers unit at the nursing home. Mom just can't take care of him anymore. I want to see her get a little bit of her life back. We need all of our family here at CF to remember us in prayer during the day today. It is tough but I also know that God will be with us through this ordeal. Thanks for the prayers.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

mistertee49 my heart and prayers are with you. I understand what you are going through. A very good friend of mine and her family years ago had to place their mother in a nursing home. "GOD IS WITH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY DEAR FRIEND"
Lord, I lift up this family in prayer as they go through this day. Lord cover each member of this family as they place this precious elderly gentleman in the nursing home. Lord, we know that alzheimers is such an awful thing for a person to have. With this on my heart I ask in prayer for this persons father to be filled with so much of Your love. Carry each member of this family through this day. Give them strength and direction. Lord, I thank You with a compassionate heart for answered prayers. In the name of Jesus "AMEN"
