  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

"Love never fails".

If you all wouldn't mind, I'd really appreciate prayer support concerning my love life. I don't really mean romantic love, but just my overall love walk in letting Christ's love shine through me. Plus a BIG problem I have is concerning stability with my personality. I was insecure with myself and tried being other people for quite awhile for various reasons, none of which are good and now I have a tendency to "forget" who I am, so to speak. I want love and peace. Those two things I'm really coveting right now.

Hmm..actually i'm almost like you too. We never can understand fully ourselves. And most of the time we switch personalities depending on the kind of people we meet to get accepted. A most common form of "personality change" is when a foreigner comes and the local will try to speak in the foreigners accent. It's minor, but it's still counted as a personality change wherewith we are not confident in presenting our true self to others. Don't worry man, pray that God will give you chances to express who you really are.

Quiet Storm-

All I can think to say is that God make you, well, YOU. Read Psalm 139 for a real confidence booster. He has plans for you. Now, you can't very well fulfill those plans if you are busy being someone else, right? :) Just don't stress so much about things. Just be the person God created you to be. He has a reason behind it all. We might not know right away what that reason is, but He does. Just ask Him to help you be who he has for you to be, and rest assured that He will guide you in the paths that He has for you. Some days, you might not even realize it and than one day you'll look back and it will all come together. It will be your "A-HA" moment. Things will make sense. I for one and sometimes glad we don't have all the answers or pieces to the puzzle up front. I think I would be too overwhelmed. I believe God gives us what we need on a need to know basis. That way we depend on Him and we don't get to overloaded with stuff we can't even begin to process until it is time to. At least that is the way it should be. I have a tendency to begin to worry about things he hasn't given me yet, but I am learning! :)
