Prayer for Envy

Dear Brothers & Sisters in Jesus,


Please pray that God will give me peace and save me from the feelings of envy I have had toward another who is doing a lot better than I am and who is getting an award for his achievments.
I don't mean to be envious and have asked God to forgive me of this sin. Please pray the Lord to take away my envy toward this person and help me to bless him so he will succeed. I am not doing well in school and feel I will not graduate as others in my class will. I am way behind and can't seem to get caught up on anything. Pray that the Lord will have mercy and give me the help that I need. Pray for His will to be done that He may recieve glory no matter what happens to me.

Father,
I lift this person up through prayer. I pray that you will hear their needs and would bless them with what they're seeking. I pray that you would bring preace upon their hearts. Deliver them from evil and I pray that they will keep on seeking your way of Truth. I thank you for letting your Son, Jesus, die for our sins, so that we may have hope of forgiveness. Through your grace and mercy, we come to know you better. I pray this in Jesus' name, Amen.

PS I went through a similar situation, except this had to do with another Christian Sister who I became very close to. The best thing you can do is ask for forgiveness from the Lord and, also if you can, try to talk to the person about it. Tell them out front how you were feeling and ask them to forgive you. That's what I did with my Sister and she was VERY understanding about it... I know that not only did the Lord forgive me, but my Sister as well was able to forgive me. It works out great like that!

Father we ask that you give Tom a giving and compassionate heart. Humble him Lord and don't allow envy to take hold of him. Show him how to do best in his studies. Let Your Will be done in his life. In Jesus name Amen.

Dear Lord, I pray for Tom that he would be able to bless this peer and desire his best. Oh Lord, we all struggle with envy. Please help Tom to overcome this feeling. Please give him clear thinking and organization so that he can catch up with the schoolwork and do well. Please help him to focus Lord. Bless him Lord. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Help him to feel proud of his friend's achievements and know that those achievements don't detract from his own unique place in your kingdom.

Lord please be with Tom and just watch over him and help him to be patient as you may have other plans for him and that he will lean on you for support and guidance. Put your arms around him and give him mercy & guidance as well as pour out your blessings on him regardless of when he gets to graduate. In thy name amen!!
