Prayer for a Cop

My stepson is a cop. Even though he was promoted to a desk position a couple of years ago, he has remained on the SWAT team. Last summer he entered a home in a dangerous situation with three other officers. Even though they were wearing full SWAT gear, one policeman (his friend) was killed and the two others wounded. My stepson was not injured. Yesterday he called his father and told him that he has resigned the “desk job” to return back to the streets again. That was news we did not want to hear. He is a Christian and is married but no children yet.

Is there anyone out there who has a ministry in intercessory prayer or who would remember him not just right now but from time to time? I have a “prayer basket” in which I keep names--maybe some have a list. His name is Scott and he a very kind and decent man and unbelievably heroic.

Lord
I lift Scott to you today and I ask for blessing to rain down in his life.
I ask Father that angels be all around him every where he goes. I ask for the blood of Jesus be all around him and no evil will come near him. No bullets or knives or anyother type of weapon can touch him. Lord we thank you for Scott and for his love of others that he would actually put his life on the line to save others. I ask for favor to be all around him. Protect him and keep him strong in his faith. Let his eyes never look away from you. Bless his wife and give her peace and keep her faith strong.
