CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Going to work today actually helped a bit...I mean now that I'm back I feel stressed because of the work I have to do...but I feel a little more not so terrified of it all. If that makes sense..

Help us to just relax in Your love, and to remember that You will sustain us through whatever we are facing, no matter how bad it seems to be. In every situation You continue to be in control, even when we don't understand. Help us Lord, heal us, give us Your strength.

Hi My Friends,
I'd like to ask for special prayers. I have a consultation tomorrow for surgery. Every day I seem to be more and more in pain and less and less able to manage it. I'm unable to even sit up for an hour at this point, and even laying on my side on the couch isn't comfortable any more. I need a miracle or I need a surgery day asap. I'm trying to be positive, but I was unable to attend church this morning again, and I'm so lonely and sad righ tnow. My 3D friends are so busy and I just hate to ask them to come and sit with me or to do things for me. I am trying to remember all that I'm thankful for, I just need God's touch.

I have had problems with chronic pain in the past. I hope that kind of pain STAYS in the past for me. I FINALLY had one particular doctor listen to me and HEAR what I was saying and we were able to get things under control.
Kristen, I haven't really "known" you long enough to know what your health issues are, but I hope that your consult goes well tomorrow. I pray that your pain can be resolved soon. It's hard to stay positive and hopeful when you hurt all the time.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters,
As I enter this post, thre are over 20,000 acers on fire here in San Diego, County, California, that are being driven by Santa Ana winds of up to 85 miles per hour.
The fires are advancing at an unbelieveable rate toward seveal towns and populated areas. There have already been an unknown number of deaths and many serious injuries. There are also many farm and domestic animals involved. The evacuation routes are jamed with people trying to flee.
YOUR PRAYERS ARE UGENTLY NEEED!!!

BREAKING NEWS ALERT: SAN DIEGO COUNTY FIRE INFORMATION UPDATE
October 22, 2007 (6:52 AM) -- Several new fires have broken out around San Diego County overnight.
Mayor Jerry Sanders reported in a Monday morning press conference that mandatory evacuations are now underway everywhere north of Highway 56, east of Interstate 5, west of Interstate 15 and south of Del Dios Highway.
Residents can now report to Qualcomm Stadium, which opened Monday morning as a new shelter location.
Crews are working to prepare the Del Mar Fairgrounds as a shelter. It is not open yet. Visit www.cbs8.com for updated information.
Mayor Sanders stresses that it is very important for all residents to be on alert and be prepared in case of an evacuation. If you feel threatened or see a fire in your area, Mayor Sanders says to evacuate immediately. Do not wait for evacuation orders.
The Mayor's Office says if you don't have to report to work today, please stay home.
Residents should call 2-1-1 for all non-emergency calls related to the fires. Due to large call volume, residents are also urged to find fire information online at www.211SanDiego.org.
Fire Chief Bill Metcalf for the North County Fire Protect District in Fallbrook calls the fires raging around the county an "extraordinarily serious fire event, extraordinarily dangerous fire event that is no where near finished."

Father God, you have the power to turn the wind, to bring the rain and to stop the fires from raging. I pray now with those who are joined in prayer, to ask your mercy on these families and fireworkers who are facing such adversity. Father, you can save them now Lord. Be with the families who have lost loved ones, and their homes and all their belongings. Lord, comfort them, give them strength, and turn them toward you. You are the only one who provides all we need. Give the firefighters and emergency workers strength Lord. They need your strength as they are surely weary from this fight. Guide them Lord on how to proceed and keep them safe. God, you are merciful and can do all that and more.. please move this mountain Lord, and move the people to You.
In your mercy, your love, and your name,
