CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

A friend of my daughter is coming home from Iraq. He had to have his leg amputated below the knee from gunshot wounds. Pray please for his healing, both body and mind.

This may not seem like a big concern to some, but please be praying for me. I am taking an introduction to New Testament Greek and I am asking that you would pray that I remember what I have studied. This test has got me a little nervous.... I'll update afterwards.

Sounds tough.
Also, to add an update on my sister. She is going through chemo to make sure the cancer doesn't return. She is doing well, even though the chemo makes her very ill for days after each treatment. She had one of the last 2 painful treatments today and the last one next one in two weeks. She will have four more, but they aren't bad like the past few have been.

I got an 85 on the test, which is a 2.8 GPA. Not nearly what I wanted, I suppose that I will work harder and study more. Thanks everyone!

LoL... it isn't a bad grade, but I want to make the dean's list and get at least a 3.75 GPA. It may seem like a high goal, but a friend told me that I was called to "Complete my education with zeal!" Of course by the way he is living I wonder what he means by "complete". He seems like he never stops going to school.

Please pray for my husband as he has suffered his third layoff. The last job brought us to Colorado, a thousand miles from family. We had to file bankruptcy before we moved, and 6 months ago were able to buy a home. Now, if he doesn't get a job soon, we'll have to try to sell this house or walk away from it and lose everything. Please pray that he finds a job he'll love and that will support our family. My health is poor and I can no longer teach because of the stress it puts on my body. Our medicine bill alone is $1100 for three months WITH insurance, which will end soon. I shudder to think what it is without insurance. Please pray for us.
