Lord, send help to her for the depression she has and that she can get help from doctors. Help her with her faith, show her there is hope and she is loved by you. Be there for her and show her you are listening. Send her your love, peace, comfort and strength. I pray for this, in Jesus name, Amen.

My wife is struggling with severe depression too. She's been seeing a Biblical Counselor. I've been through psychotherapy for many years. But this counselor tries to locate the cause of the depression and fix it. It seems like a sound approach to me. I'm not saying go off your meds. But maybe you can find someone at church to counsel with (your pastor?) or even find a psychologist who is a Bible believing therapist?

Speaking from my own experience, you really need a group of Christians that you can discuss this openly with and not get judged. I used to go to Celebrate Recovery. That was a great group. I would encourage you to find one nearby and go.
