Father, in the Sweet, Awesome and Precious Name of Jesus, I humble myself before you and give you thanks for hearing and answering our prayers. I ask that You look upon my heart and the hearts of all Your children and judge them as only You are qualified to do. Take away our sin and remove any and everything in our hearts that ought not to be there because it hinders our fellowship with You.
I thank You, Father, for all my brothers and sisters and I thank You, of course for the Love that binds us together and for all the things we, in this awesome Family have in common. But I also thank You for those things that make us different and unique and indeed a blessing to one another. I thank You for the many differences even in the style of our prayers, that rather than contradict one another, we compliment one another in our worship of You.
Father, even as I type these words, there are evil forces not just poised to attack us, but already engaging us in a fierce spiritual war. There are those who have crept in, pretending to be one of us, but inwardly they never were. Give us, I pray, strength, resolve, and wisdom to stand our ground and fight the good fight.
May our Saviour return soon and find us busy doing the things You have given us to do. Help us Father to open our spiritual eyes and hearts and get ourselves prepared to stand before our Saviour and receive the rewards we have earned.
Thank You for Your inconceivable Love, and may we mature to the point that we see Your Love in our trials, and understand that it is only in this way that we are able to grow to maturity.
Give us, I pray, a new heart this day. One filled to overflowing with Your Love and Your Peace, not only for You, but for all our Family. I ask that You bless us by using us to show Your awesome love to others and lead them to the precious Feet of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. And so it is.
