Prayer 11/4/19

“But I trusted in your steadfast love;
my heart shall rejoice in your salvation.
I will sing to the Lord,
because he has dealt bountifully with me.” Psalm 13:5-6

Eternal and Almighty God, we rise up thanking you. Our prayers glorify you throughout the day. Remind us, again and again, that we look to you in all things. And may our hearts ever be grateful.

Gracious Father, we pray to you in the name of your Son, for he has given us life and grace, and you have given him all authority. May the only debt we owe be the debt of love. For by love we fulfill your law. May we love as your Son has loved us, and may you be glorified in it. Through Jesus Christ we pray. Amen.

“Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery; You shall not murder; You shall not steal; You shall not covet”; and any other commandment, are summed up in this word, “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore, love is the fulfilling of the law.” Romans 13:8-10
