Pray to Help Me and Students I Want to Serve

I've applied for a position that would allow me to work with middle/high school students in low-income neighborhoods be prepared for life (college, university, work) after high school. I would work with individuals and families, educating them about applying, financial aid, and career exploration.

God knows I've prayed for a position like this to open up in my area. I was pleased to find that they are looking for two individuals for this role, doubling my chances. I'm am further blessed by knowing someone who can recommend me to the hiring director.

However, I don't want to get my hopes up too high. I'm praying, praying, and praying that I'm invited to interview and get the position. Your prayers would be much appreciated. Thank you.

i understand this balance between having hopes and dreams and how they sometimes create anxiety. it helps me to think of this...God loves me so much, He will give me my dreams if they are good for me. if, for some reason, He chooses not to fulfill one particular dream, i know there is a really good reason...one that i don't yet understand, but will know someday. and i know there are other hopes and dreams that He *will* fulfill for me, in the future. it's complicated, but that helps me through the days. praying...
