  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Recently my wife gave birth to our second beautiful daughter. The hospital that she was born in is about two hours from our home. The c-section was scheduled for 8;00 a.m. My wife had to be there at 6;00 a.m, to be prepped for surgery. Before 6;30, a knock came on the door and it was our pastor, he had gotten up before 3;00 a.m. to be there with us to pray before she entered surgery. I told him he should have waited till later to come and his reply was, I get so many calls to come to the hospital for bad news, He said i would not have missed this oppourtunity to be here for good news. He stayed until she was born, then he left to go to another hospital to see people that were sick. I ask you today to pray for pastors, and their families, sometimes i think we take them for granted and don't realize that they need prayer also. Please take the time just to call your preacher and give them good news, they will appreciate it. God Bless

Hi forjesus,
Congratulations on the birth of your baby girl! BTW.."Amie" is a great name ;) I am so happy he was there to pray for and with you, there is nothing more important than prayer! and how great for him, what a wonderful way to start the day, seeing a beautiful child that has just been born! I have no doubt that the beauty of life carried on with him while he was helping the others who were sick and in need! I will pray for all pastors and their families, and I have said a special prayer for your pastor and his family. Life is a beautiful thing and to pray is such an importance, sometimes in a rush it is all too easily forgotten...love and blessings and peace to you always! Praying for you, your wife and your two little ones! Best of luck to you!
Amie

>>.."Amie" is a great name

We have a women in our church named Amie. She is tall and beautiful and teaches cheerleading, her husband is the coach for the highschool football team. She is very energetic and very happy and excited.

Recently, she just got saved and seems to be all lit up now. She had a bit of down time after the birth of her daughter and started to feel tired. She came to realized that she needed to be saved and now she is all the more filled with energy and ready to go.

If I had one Amie to encourage me, I could put up with 100 people who were depressed, discouraged and down in the mouth, becasue she shows me that life does not have to be that way at all. Thanks, JohnR7
