Pray For The Poor And Homeless

LORD, please encourage all your people to be good stewards of the resources which you have provided, especially toward helping the homeless. O LORD, would you speak love into the hearts and encourage your people to share the riches you have let them borrow for a time. LORD, only you know what each person needs, before they ask, and we ask you to take care of your people, who are homeless, living in the streets as this holiday season approaches, and at all times, and any time there's one among us in need, encourage your people to help. Thank you LORD for hearing and answering our prayers. God's will be done. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Isaiah 58:7 (KJV) 7 Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?

Luke 14:13-14 (KJV) 13 But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind: 14 And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just.

Leviticus 25:35-36 (KJV) 35 And if thy brother be waxen poor, and fallen in decay with thee; then thou shalt relieve him: yea, though he be a stranger, or a sojourner; that he may live with thee. 36 Take thou no usury of him, or increase: but fear thy God; that thy brother may live with thee.

Amen. As we help the homeless let us also minister to their spiritual needs and pray also for their salvation in Jesus Christ our Redeemer.

There are many homeless people on the streets in the UK, especially the drug takers, people who have never had a home, people with mental problems......Lord help us to help them.

My experience with helping the homeless through the church is they really appreciate the use electively of shelter, the hot meals, shower facilities of the Gospel mission home. The ones who stay on want to make the next step towards rehab (in some cases) or to get job placement. Unfortunately this is not the majority. A lot want to live they way they do and come for help when the physical conditions are bad or they can't find food on their own.

Usually the aforementioned have some mental illness and have been overlooked or abandoned by society. Our prayers and our serving towel must be focused on getting the mentally ill to help.

I hope I NEVER have to be homeless and it's getting cold out there too.

Father, I pray for compassion, generosity, and the ministry to the poor to be done as You have directed and how You lead. I also pray that wisdom and discernment will be utilized, and that people will realize that just the state of being homeless is not always a state that needs to be immediately changed. The homeless individual is not necessarily a person that is open to godliness, and who may be under God's judgment, and in need of repentance before they can be adequately helped. God give us discernment, not judgmentalism, and led us in how You would have us relate with the homeless. May Your true blessings be upon them, in a way that will help them in the very best way. Amen.

Amen. Let us continue to pray for the poor and homeless, and pray also for wisdom from above, to discern a person's motives and spiritual condition, as we heed God's call for us to share with the destitute within our society.

• Is it not to share your bread with the hungry and bring the homeless poor into your house; when you see the naked, to cover him, and not to hide yourself from your own flesh? —Isaiah 58:7
• But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you. For you will be repaid at the resurrection of the just. —Luke 14:13-14

Thank you God for looking at our hearts and the hearts of those who receive our charity too. We pray that the benefactors or our charity—whether it be financial, food, clothing, a hot shower, a blanket, or any other thing—will receive it as a gift from God, and it will be put to good use. God bless anyone who is in a position to render help to a homeless and poor person who is in need. Let us love our neighbor as self, and love God above all else.

Father in Heaven, thank you for your blessings and all that you provide. There are so many homeless people who are unable to help themselves or who are unfit in some way to help themselves, many who need to hear the gospel for the first time. We can do nothing but through you. Without God, we can do nothing. You do not need us. Your will be done and you don't need us, nor the angles, nor any thing, but your will be done by you alone—Almighty God can do all things. We need you. I pray you use us, your people, the believers, somehow, is some way of your choosing, to help those, in this season, who are unable to help themselves. In the power of the Holy Spirit. May God's will be done, not ours, in all things. In Jesus' precious name. Amen.

Father please bless those that are struggling or are Without Shelter. Bless those that have the resources to assist with Mercy and a tender heart. Take away whatever in their lives that may be preventing them from thriving. Replace it with the purpose and the knowledge of your love and blessing. Bless them with the resources they need to thrive and do the work of spreading the gospel that you've called all of us to do.
