Pray for MOM

Well I am not doing so well.
Mom is a diabetic. My Dad was also diabetic. He died on Christmas 1998. His feet started going bad 3 years before and he had a few toes removed and slowly died. He was 55 years old.
I dropped Mom off at the doctors today and she was admitted into the hospital because the doctor said she would loose her feet if she kept this up.
Mom had made the decision that if her feet don't heal, she will not get anything amputated. She will not fight..go on a morphine drip and let the infection attack her body until she dies.
Mom has really done nothing to help herself since Dad died. She has been more or less like a child, disobeying what the doctors have been telling her.
My reaction to this?
Anger, upset, the ache on my chest is back, hurt, panicked, Im sure my panic attacks will start again.
Please pray for me and my family....We sure do need it now!

My heart goes out to you! I will definitely be keeping your mother in my prayers. But I will also be praying for you. I will pray that the Lord will give you the strength and the endurance to aid your mom in fighting this sickness. God will strengthen you my sister. Trust in him and in his ways. Read Proverbs 3:5,6. I will pray for your mother and for you, GEL.

It sounds like your Mom is missing your Dad so much, and just wants to "join him". I know how she feels. I think I could have very easily "just willed myself to die" after my husband died, but I thought of my family and couldn't put them through yet another death. (Especially since my own mother died 7 months after my Dad...)

Could your Mom's pastor talk to her? Or maybe you know of someone who is a widow and made it through after her husband died who would be willing to talk to your Mom?

You are both going through such a hard time, and my heart goes out to you, GEL.

I have tried coucling, priests, drugs ect. Mom is the type that insists that everything be done for her.
She is very stubborn!
This really stinks....Her sister is also sick. She might have cancer again in her stomach. If mom goes and her sister, who is like a second mom to me, then i have no one left except cousins. All the aunts and uncles died...all the grandparents are dead. I know what is was like NOT to have any grandparents. My daughter is going to have a hard time with this. She is very close to Mom.
I'm not even 30 yet!
